Front-end web developer

The Role:

Shot Scope is a young up-and-coming company which develops wearable technology for golfers.  The Shot Scope wristband allows players to automatically track their golf shots and provides stats that were previously only available to top professional golfers.

Shot Scope are seeking a front-end web developer to work on our player dashboard.  Working closely with other front-end engineers and a product designer, this person will help create an immersive user experience which allows golfers to relive every shot taken and review various aspects of their game.

Knowledge of golf is not essential.  We are looking for someone with a passion for creating beautiful websites and a flair for presenting user data in intuitive ways.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience of developing websites and dashboards
  • A hard-working attitude and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and able to put forward ideas
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
  • Experience with Bootstrap framework
  • Knowledge of AngularJS is beneficial
  • Comfortable with Git version control
  • First class degree or upper 2nd in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Experience with Google Analytics and AdWords

Graphic Designer

THE ROLE:

Shot Scope is a young, up-and-coming company which develops wearable technology for golfers. Shot Scope has designed, engineered and manufactured their product entirely in Scotland with a diverse and international team based in Edinburgh. The product is a wristband and set of tags which gather information that is displayed on a dashboard allowing golfers to review their performance. The Shot Scope wristband is the first fully automated performance tracking system for golf providing stats that were previously only available to top professional golfers.

Shot Scope are seeking a talented graphic designer to fulfill in-house graphic design needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with vision who has the ability to generate content for both print and digital marketing. The range of work is broad and the individual will need to be self-motivated and hardworking.

Workload will be varied so essential that the candidate is confident working on a range of tasks. These will include, but are not limited to: designing social media posts, social media adverts, magazine adverts, banner adverts, GIFs, printed marketing collateral (media kits, business cards, leaflets, posters etc) and B2B collateral. Opportunities will also arise to design exhibition stands and work on large-scale projects.

Knowledge of golf is not essential but may be beneficial.  Shot Scope is a forward-thinking company who welcomes new ideas and gives a unique opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects. REQUIREMENTS:

  • First class degree or upper 2nd in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Ability to fulfil commercial requirements in an on-brand and aesthetically pleasing way
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative suite, in particular Adobe Illustrator, and ability to utilise Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Need to be a team-player who can integrate into a busy start-up
  • Able to move efficiently between tasks and prioritise effectively
DESIRABLE:
  • Experience/interest in photography and video production
