Favourite golfing moment?

I was stuck in a 6ft bunker on the 9th (par 3). After 2 failed attempts at getting out, I took a frustrated stab at it. To my amazement (end everyone else’s) it went straight in the hole!

Being a fairly new golfer, I had no ideas of distances. Shot Scope provides me with continuous insights with on course club yardages and confidence in my club selection when it really matters

Paul's putting statistics

PUTTING

Paul’s putting stats enlighten us as to why he gets up and down so frequently with an avg. proximity of 22ft. He holes 28% of long range putts (>24ft), this is above average from that distance range. Paul’s putting stats are great at medium and long range, so keep this up, however the short range (<6ft) should be the focus with Paul’s putting. We would like to see this get to over 80% in 2019.

Paul's approaches statistics

APPROACHES

Approach play is directly linked to tee shots. If Paul can increase his fairway success he will also increase his approach success.

A tip for Paul to try and hit more greens is to simply play for the middle of the green. This strategy will mean a good shot that hits the green will never be too far from the pin regardless of pin position.

Paul's short game statistics

SHORT GAME

This area of Paul’s game is good, particularly for a 17 handicap. 34% inside 6ft is great, as is the 40% up and down %. The only thing we would like to see improve is the avg. proximity to the hole, 22ft isn’t not great as it leaves a lot of long putts (fine if you hole them but it’s rare). If Paul can reduce his avg. proximity to under 20ft, it will make it easier to get up and down more frequently.

Paul's tee shots statistics

TEE SHOTS

Paul’s Tee Shot stats show that he has a big right miss, missing right more often than he hits the fairway. A key step to Paul improving his game and continuing to reduce his handicap would be minimising that right miss. We’d like Paul to be hitting at least 35% of fairways by the end of 2019 but more importantly reduce his right miss to under 35%.

Paul's clubs statistics

CLUBS

We can see from Paul’s P-Avg that he has good gapping between all of his irons and wedges. The one concern we would have is the gap between his H22 and Driver. His H13 is not performing at the distance it should be, we would suggest Paul gets another club to fill this gap, perhaps a 3 wood. This will give Paul the opportunity to hit greens from around 220 yards away from the green.
