Leading Technology Advisory & Investment Firm Recognizes Shot Scope Innovation Prowess Following the Launch of the X5 GPS Golf Watch and the PRO L2 Multi-Function, High Performance Laser Rangefinder

Edinburgh, UK  – On the heels launching the multi-function X5 GPS Golf Watch, the next generation in the Company’s award-winning and patented performance tracking and distance measuring smart watch technology, and the PRO L2 Laser Rangefinder, a multi-function, high performance DMD, Shot Scope (www.shotscope.com), the industry-leader in advanced GPS and shot tracking technology, has been honored with the Judges’ Innovation Award by GP Bullhound, a leading UK-based technology advisory and investment firm.

Shot Scope was honored as the most innovative UK company in GP Bullhound’s (www.gpbullhound.com) 2023 Northern Tech Awards during a recent ceremony attended by 250 CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business leaders in the digital economy to celebrate and showcase the leading tech businesses in the North of England and Scotland.

“Shot Scope is thrilled to be recognized by GP Bullhound for our global golf technology, especially as we continue to introduce demonstrably different, game changing products for golfers and golf instructors,” said David Hunter, CEO, Shot Scope. “With our recent launches of the X5 GPS Golf Watch and PRO L2 Rangefinder, which are among a stable of new products we will debut in 2023, we continue to develop advanced technology that offers real-time data and information for golfers to perform their best out on the course.

Adds Hunter, “Complementing our products, through our new Shot Scope Academy platform we have created unmatched connectivity between golf instructors and golfers that provides detailed performance data captured during a round of golf.  This information is essential to helping instructors better evaluate their student’s performance out on the course.”

Shot Scope’s Judges’ Innovation Award comes on the back of recent insights from GP Bullhound that highlighted 2022 as a record year for the Northern technology ecosystem – with average growth rates of best-performing tech businesses across the North reaching an all-time high, despite a more challenging environment across tech. Analysis from GP Bullhound revealed that the Top 100 fastest-growing tech companies in the North recorded an average growth rate of 42%, and the Top 10 had an average growth rate of 119%.  Further, Shot Scope was recognized as 17th in the rankings of top fastest growing companies in the UK.

“In the span of a few weeks, Shot Scope has introduced two innovative products that will have a direct, positive impact on game and course management for golfers of all playing levels,” adds Hunter. “The X5 Smart Watch is truly a game changer in the industry and the launch of PRO L2 provides golfers with an unmatched laser rangefinder, filled with high-tech features at an incredible price point.  Winning the Judges’ Innovation Award reinforces our mission to developing best-in-class performance tracking and distance measuring products at the most affordable pricing on the market.”
